Hadith #38540
قال: كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يوتر بركعة. ثم يصلي ركعتين (نافلاً). وكان يجلس فيقرأ القراءات. وكان صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا حضر الركوع قام وركع. (ابن ماجه) [1]
He said, Rasulullah (sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) used to pray one rak'at of witr. Then he would perform two rak'ahs (nafal). He used to sit and recite Qiraat. When it was time to bow, he (peace be upon him) used to stand He used to bow. (Ibn Majah) [1]
