وَعَنْ ثَوْبَانَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: «إِنَّ هذَا السَّهَرَ جُهْدٌ وَثِقَلٌ فَإِذَا أَوْتَرَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَرْكَعْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَإِنْ قَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَإِلَّا كَانَتَا لَه» . رَوَاهُ الدَّارِمِيُّ
On the authority of Thawban, on the authority of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, he said: “This staying up late is an effort and a burden, so when one of you prays Witr, let him kneel two rak’ahs, and if he gets up during the night Otherwise, they are his. Narrated by Al-Darimi
