وَعَنْ وَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الْأَسْقَعِ قَالَ: صَلّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللّهِ ﷺ عَلى رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فَسَمِعْتُه يَقُولُ: «اللّهُمَّ إِنَّ فُلَانَ بْنَ فُلَانٍ فِي ذِمَّتِكَ وَحَبْلِ جَوَارِكَ فَقِه مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْقَبْرِ وَعَذَابِ النَّارِ وَأَنْتَ أَهْلُ الْوَفَاءِ وَالْحَقِّ اللّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَه وَارْحَمْهُ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيْمُ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ
On the authority of Wathilah bin Al-Asqa’, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, led us in prayer over a man from among the Muslims, and I heard him say: “O God, so-and-so, son of so-and-so, is in Your protection and the cord of your neighbours, protection from the temptation of the grave and the torment of the Fire, and you are the people of loyalty and truth. O God, forgive him and have mercy on him, for it is you The Forgiving, the Merciful. Narrated by Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah
