On the authority of Abdullah bin Abbas, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “The dead person in the grave is nothing but like a drowning person defecating, waiting for a call to come to him.” Whether a father, a mother, a brother, or a friend, if she pursues him, he is dearer to him than the world and all that is in it. And indeed, God Almighty will enter upon the people of Graves are among the places of supplication of the people of the earth, like mountains, and the gift of the living to the dead is to seek forgiveness for them.” Narrated by Al-Bayhaqi in Shu’ab Al-Iman
