Hadith #40137
قال: سألت عائشة رضي الله عنها كم كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يوتر؟ قالت عائشة رضي الله عنها: "كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يوتر بأربع وثلاث، وأحيانا بست وثلاث (أي تسع)، وأحيانا بثمان وثلاث (أي إحدى عشرة)، وأحيانا بعشر وثلاث (أي ثلاث عشرة)، وكان لا يصلي أقل من سبع، ولا يزيد على ثلاث عشرة" (أبو داود) [1] .
He said, I asked Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) how many rak'ahs of Witr prayer the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to perform. ``A'ishah (RA) said, "The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) sometimes used four and three (i.e. seven), and sometimes six and three. (i.e. nine), sometimes eight and three (i.e. eleven) and sometimes ten and three (i.e. thirteen) rak'at Witr prayers. He would not pray less than seven and more than thirteen Witr prayers. (Abu Dawud) [1]
