Mishkatul Masabih — Hadith #40145

On the authority of Aisha, on the authority of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, he said: “Do you know what this night is?” Meaning the night of the middle of Sha`ban. She said: What is in it, O Messenger of God? He said: “In it, every one of the children of Adam should be recorded in this year.” And in it every one of the sons of Adam who perished in this year and in it will be recorded. “Their deeds will be exalted, and in them their livelihood will be descended.” She said: O Messenger of God, no one will enter Paradise except by the mercy of God Almighty? He said: “No one will enter Paradise except by the mercy of God Almighty.” Three. I said: Not even you, O Messenger of God? Then he placed his hand on his forehead and said: “Neither do I.” Unless God covers me with His mercy.” He says it three times. Narrated by Al-Bayhaqi in Al-Dawat Al-Kabir
