Hadith #40173
وَعَنْ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: «إِنَّ طُولَ صَلَاةِ الرَّجُلِ وَقِصَرَ خُطْبَتِه مَئِنَّةٌ مِنْ فِقْهِهِ فَأَطِيْلُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَأَقْصِرُوا الْخُطْبَةَ وَإِنَّ مِنَ الْبَيَانِ سِحْرًا» . رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ
On the authority of Ammar, he said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying: “The length of a man’s prayer and the shortness of his sermon are a matter of jurisprudence, so lengthen the prayer and shorten it.” The sermon, and indeed part of the statement is magic.” Narrated by Muslim
