Hadith #40175
قال: كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يخطب خطبتين. وكان يجلس على المنبر. حتى انتهى المؤذن من الأذان. ثم يقوم فيبدأ بالخطبة. ثم كان يجلس مرة أخرى. ولم يتكلم في هذا الوقت. ثم يقوم مرة أخرى فيلقي الخطبة (الثانية). (أبو داود) [1]
He said, The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to give two khutbahs (speech). He used to sit on the pulpit. Until the muezzin finished the call to prayer. Then he would stand up and start the sermon. Then he would sit again. He did not speak at this time. Then he would stand again and deliver the (second) sermon. (Abu Dawud) [1]
