Hadith #40176
عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ قَائِمًا ثُمَّ يَجْلِسُ ثُمَّ يَقُومُ فَيَخْطُبُ قَائِمًا فَمَنْ نَبَّأَكَ أَنَّه كَانَ يَخْطُبُ جَالِسًا فَقَدْ كَذَبَ فَقَدَ وَاللهِ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَه أََكْثَرَ مِنْ أَلْفَيْ صَلَاةٍ. رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ
On the authority of Jabir bin Samurah, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, used to deliver the sermon standing, then sit down, then stand up and deliver the sermon standing, so who told you that he used to deliver the sermon? Sitting, he lied. By God, I prayed more than two thousand prayers with him. Narrated by Muslim
