Hadith #40529
وعنه قال‏:‏ قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏أمرت أن أقاتل الناس حتى يشهدوا أن لا إله إلا الله وأن محمدًا رسول الله، ويقيموا الصلاة ويؤتوا الزكاة، فإذا فعلوا ذلك، عصموا مني دماءهم وأموالهم إلا بحق الإسلام، وحسابهم على الله‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
On his authority, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said “I have been commanded to fight people until they bear witness that there is no god but God and that Muhammad is the Messenger of God, and perform prayer and pay zakat. If they do that, their blood and their wealth will be protected from me except by right of Islam, and their reckoning will be with God.” (Agreed upon)
