Riyad as-Salihin — Hadith #46104

The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you come to the sick or the dead, say good things, for the angels believe in what you say." She said: "When Abu Salamah died, I came to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and I said: "O Messenger of Allah, Abu Salamah is dead." He said: "O Allah, forgive me and him, and follow me from it a good obstacle." I said: "Allah followed me who is better for me than him."‏ “When you bring the sick person, or the dead, then the doubt, narrated by Abu Dawud and others: ‘The dead’ without doubt.’”
