Hadith #46258
On the authority of Saad bin Abi Waqqas, may God be pleased with him, he said: We left with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, from Mecca, wanting to make up Medina. When we were close to Azura, he descended, then raised his hands, and called upon God for an hour, then fell down in prostration, and stayed for a long time. Then he rose and raised his hands for an hour, then fell down in prostration - he did it - three times - and said: “Indeed, I asked my Lord, and interceded for my nation, and He gave me a third of my nation, so I prostrated.” Prostrating to my Lord in thanks, then I raised my head and asked my Lord for my nation, and He gave it to me A third of my nation, so I fell down in prostration to my Lord in thanks, then I raised my head and asked my Lord for my nation, and He gave me the other third, so I fell down in prostration to my Lord” ((Narrated by Abu Dawud)).
