Hadith #46371
وعن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال‏:‏ ‏ "‏كان رجل يداين الناس، وكان يقول لفتاه‏:‏ إذا أتيت معسرا فتجاوز عنه، لعل الله أن يتجاوز عنا فلقي الله فتجاوز عنه‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “There was a man who owed money to people, and he used to say to his young man: If you come in debt, forgive him. Perhaps God will forgive us. So he met God and he will forgive him.” (Agreed upon)
