Hadith #46372
وعن أبي مسعود البدري رضي الله عنه قال‏:‏ قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏:‏ ‏"‏حوسب رجل ممن كان قبلكم فلم يوجد له من الخير شيء إلا أنه كان يخالط الناس، وكان موسرًا وكان يأمر غلمانه أن يتجاوزوا عن المعسر قال الله عز وجل‏:‏ ‏"‏نحن أحق بذلك منه، تجاوزوا عنه‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه مسلم‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
On the authority of Abu Masoud Al-Badri, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “A man who was before you was held accountable, and nothing good was found for him except that he was mixing with people, and he was well-off, and he used to order his servants to overlook the needy. God Almighty said: “We are more deserving of that than him, so overlook him” ((Narrated by Muslim)).
