Riyad as-Salihin — Hadith #46448
Hadith #46448
On his authority, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said:
“One of you will be answered as long as he is not in a hurry: he says: I prayed to my Lord, but He did not answer me” ((Agreed upon)). And in a narration by a Muslim, the servant will still be answered as long as he does not pray for sin or severing family ties, as long as he is not in a hurry. It was said, O Messenger of God, what is the rush? He said, “I have prayed and I have prayed and I have not seen anyone answer me,” so he becomes sad at that and abandons the supplication.
