Riyad as-Salihin — Hadith #46537

On the authority of Abdullah bin Jaafar, may God be pleased with them both, that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, gave the family of Jaafar, may God be pleased with him, three days of respite, then he came to them and said: “Do not cry for my brother after today.” Then he said: “Call for me my brother’s sons.” He brought us as if we were chicks and said: “Call for me the barber,” so he commanded him, and he shaved our heads.” Narrated by Abu Dawud with an authentic chain of transmission according to the conditions of Al-Bukhari and Muslim
