حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلاَلٍ، عَنِ الْعَلاَءِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَى عَنِ الْمَجَالِسِ بِالصُّعُدَاتِ، فَقَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، لَيَشُقُّ عَلَيْنَا الْجُلُوسُ فِي بُيُوتِنَا؟ قَالَ: فَإِنْ جَلَسْتُمْ فَأَعْطُوا الْمَجَالِسَ حَقَّهَا، قَالُوا: وَمَا حَقُّهَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: إِدْلاَلُ السَّائِلِ، وَرَدُّ السَّلاَمِ، وَغَضُّ الأَبْصَارِ، وَالأَمْرُ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ، وَالنَّهْيُ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ.
Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah narrated to us, he said: Suleiman bin Bilal narrated to us, on the authority of Al-Ala, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace He forbade sitting on the ascent, so they said: O Messenger of God, is it difficult for us to sit in our homes? He said: If You sat, and they gave the gatherings their due. They said: What is their due, O Messenger of God? He said: Instructing the questioner, returning the greeting, lowering the gaze, and the matter. With what is right and forbidding what is wrong.
