Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #48233

She quickly left the doors of The mosque, so they said, “The prayer has been shortened.” Among the people were Abu Bakr and Omar, may God be pleased with them, so they were afraid to speak to him. Among the people was a man in His hands are long. He is called the Two-Handed. He said, O Messenger of God, have you forgotten or shortened the prayer? He said: “I did not forget, nor did it shorten.” He said: “Is it as the Two-Handed” says? They said: Yes. So he went forward and prayed what he had left, then he said the salaam, then he said “Allahu Akbar” and prostrated like his prostration or longer, then he raised his head and said “Allahu Akbar,” then he said “Allahu Akbar.” He prostrated like his prostration or longer, then he raised his head and said “Allahu Akbar,” and perhaps they asked him, then he saluted. He says, “I was informed that Imran bin Husayn said, then he saluted.” And its wording is by Al-Bukhari and in another of theirs: Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said instead of “I have not forgotten, nor have I fallen short”: “All of that.” It did not happen.” He said: “Part of that happened, O Messenger of God.”
