Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #48257

On the authority of Amr bin Absa, he said: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, came to Medina, and I came to Medina and entered upon him and said: Tell me about prayer, and he said: “Pray a prayer.” Fajr, then shorten the prayer until the sun rises until it rises, for when it rises it rises between the two horns. Satan, and then the disbelievers will prostrate to it. Then pray, for the prayer is witnessed and present until the shadow is guided by the spear. Then stop praying. For at that time Hell will be scorched, and when the rain comes, pray, then the prayer will be witnessed and attended until you pray the afternoon prayer, then Shorten the prayer until the sun sets, for it sets between the horns of Satan, and at that time the disbelievers will prostrate to it. He said, so I said, O Prophet of God, then ablution. He told me about him. He said: “There is not a man among you who approaches his ablution, rinses his mouth, inhales it, and then blows it out except that the sins fall out on his face, in his mouth, and in his nostrils. Then, when he washes His face as God commanded him, unless the sins of his face fall out from the edges of his beard with the water. Then he washes his hands up to the elbows, unless they fall out. The sins of his hands fell out with the water from his fingertips, then he washed his head. The sins from his head fell from the ends of his hair with the water, then he washed His feet to the ankles until the sins of his feet fell from his fingertips into the water. If he stood up and prayed, he thanked God, praised Him, and glorified Him. “By the one who has family and has emptied his heart for God, he will turn away from his sin just like his appearance on the day his mother gave birth to him.” Narrated by Muslim
