Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #50456

On the authority of Aisha, she said: Utbah bin Abi Waqqas made a covenant with his brother Saad bin Abi Waqqas: “The son of the child of Zam’ah is from me, so arrest him.” To you, when it was the year of the conquest, Saad took him and said: He is my brother’s son, and Abd bin Zam’a said: My brother, so they went to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. Peace be upon him, and Saad said: O Messenger of God, my brother made a covenant with me about it, and Abd bin Zamaa said: My brother and the son of my father’s descendant was born on his bed, so the Messenger of God said: God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him: “He is yours, O Abd ibn Zam’ah. The child is for the bed and the stone is for the prostitute.” Then he said to Sawda bint Zam’ah: “Hide yourself from him” because he saw that he looked like a threshold, and he did not see it until he met God. And in a narration: He said: “He is your brother, O Abd Ibn Zam’a because he was born on his father’s bed.”
