Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #52184

On the authority of Anas, he said: Abdullah bin Salam heard something coming from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, while he was in a land wandering, so he came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said, “I am asking you about three things that no one knows except a prophet: What will be the first signs of the Hour and what will be the first food of the people of heaven? What is the inclination of a child to his father or to his mother? He said: “Gabriel told me about them just before, as for the first signs of the Hour: a fire that will gather people from the east to the west, and as for the first food that he will eat. People of Paradise, then an increase in the liver of a whale, and if a man’s fluid precedes a woman’s fluid, it will be removed. The boy, and when the woman’s menstruation breaks, she breaks.” He said: I bear witness that there is no god but God and that you are the Messenger of God, O Messenger of God. The Jews are a deceived people, and they wish they knew of my Islam before you asked them. They amazed me, so the Jews came and said: “Which man is the servant of God among you?” They said: The best of us and a son The best of us, our master, and the son of our master, and he said: “Have you considered that Abdullah bin Salam has converted to Islam?” They said: May God protect him from that. Then Abdullah came out and said, “I bear witness that there is no god but God, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of God.” They said: “The evil of us and the son of our evil,” so they disparaged him. He said: This is the one who I was afraid O Messenger of God, narrated by Al-Bukhari
