Sunan ad-Darimi — Hadith #53639

Muhammad bin Al-Ala’ told us, Abu Usama told us, Awf told us, Abu Raja’ Al-Ataridi told me, on the authority of Imran bin Husayn Radi On his authority, he said: We were with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, on a journey, then he came down and called for ablution, and he performed ablution, then prayer was called. He prayed with the people, so when he became distraught from his prayers, when he was a lonely man who did not pray with the people, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said to him, "Why did not you so-and-so pray with the people?" And he said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have been afflicted by sin, and there is no water," and the Messenger of Allah said, "Pray." May Allah bless him and grant him peace: "It is enough for you ."
