أَخْبَرَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، قَالَ :" تَسَحَّرْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ : ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ. قَالَ : قُلْتُ : كَمْ كَانَ بَيْنَ الْأَذَانِ وَالسُّحُورِ؟ قَالَ : قَدْرُ قِرَاءَةِ خَمْسِينَ آيَةً "
Muslim bin Ibrahim told us, Hisham told us, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Anas, on the authority of Zayd bin Thabit, he said: “We had suhoor with the Messenger of God. May God’s prayers and peace be upon him. He said: Then he stood up to pray. He said: I said: How long was it between the call to prayer and suhoor? He said: The amount of recitation of fifty verses.
