أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَقُولُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى :كُلُّ عَمَلِ ابْنِ آدَمَ لَهُ : فَالْحَسَنَةُ بِعَشْرِ أَمْثَالِهَا إِلَى سَبْعِ مِئَةِ ضِعْفٍ، إِلَّا الصِّيَامَ هُوَ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ، إِنَّهُ يَتْرُكُ الطَّعَامَ وَشَهْوَتَهُ مِنْ أَجْلِي، وَيَتْرُكُ الشَّرَابَ وَشَهْوَتَهُ مِنْ أَجْلِي، فَهُوَ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ "
Yazid told us, Muhammad bin Amr told us, on the authority of Abu Salamah, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: God Almighty says: Every deed of the son of Adam is for him: a good deed is rewarded ten times to seven hundredfold, except fasting. It is for Me and I will reward. With it, He gives up food and his desire for my sake, and he gives up drink and his desire for my sake. He is mine and I will reward him.”
