Sunan ad-Darimi — Hadith #55330

Ahmad bin Abdullah narrated to us, Laith bin Saad narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Al-Zubayr, on the authority of Jabir bin Abdullah, that he said: He threw stones on the day The parties killed Saad bin Muadh, so they cut off his horn, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, destroyed it with fire, and his hand swelled, so he bled and destroyed it. Another time, and his hand swelled, and when he saw that, he said: Oh God, do not expel me until my eyes are comforted by Banu Qurayzah. So he held his sweat and it did not drip. Drop by drop until they came to the rule of Saad. So he sent for him, and he ruled that their men should be killed, and their women and offspring should be spared. So that the Muslims may seek help from them, so the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “You have corrected the judgment of God regarding them.” They were four hundred, and when he finished killing them, his veins ruptured and he died.
