أَخْبَرَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ بِلَالٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ عِنْدِي مُدُّ تَمْرٍ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَوَجَدْتُ أَطْيَبَ مِنْهُ صَاعًا بِصَاعَيْنِ، فَاشْتَرَيْتُ مِنْهُ، فَأَتَيْتُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ :" مِنْ أَيْنَ لَكَ هَذَا يَا بِلَالُ؟ ".
قُلْتُ : اشْتَرَيْتُ صَاعًا بِصَاعَيْنِ.
قَالَ : " رُدَّهُ وَرُدَّ عَلَيْنَا تَمْرَنَا "
Othman bin Omar told us, Israel told us, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Masruq, on the authority of Bilal, he said: I had a mudd of dates for the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. I found one for two sa’s better than him, so I bought from him and brought it to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he said: “Where did you get this from, Bilal?” I said: I bought one sa' for two sa's. He said: “Return him and give us our dates.”
