أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، وَأَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ : أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُتِيَ بِرَجُلٍ لِيُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ :" صَلُّوا عَلَى صَاحِبِكُمْ فَإِنَّ عَلَيْهِ دَيْنًا ".
قَالَ أَبُو قَتَادَةَ : هُوَ عَلَيَّ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ.
قَالَ : " بِالْوَفَاءِ؟ ".
قَالَ : " بِالْوَفَاءِ ".
قَالَ : فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ
Saeed bin Amir and Abu Al-Walid told us, on the authority of Shu’bah, on the authority of Uthman bin Abdullah bin Mawhib, on the authority of Abdullah bin Abi Qatada, on the authority of his father: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, a man was brought to pray for him, and he said: “Pray for your companion, for he is in debt.” Abu Qatada said: He is Ali, O Messenger of God. He said: “With loyalty?” He said: “With loyalty.” He said: So he prayed over him
