حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي زَكَرِيَّا الْخُزَاعِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" إِنَّكُمْ تُدْعَوْنَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِأَسْمَائِكُمْ وَأَسْمَاءِ آبَائِكُمْ، فَأَحْسِنُوا أَسْمَاءَكُمْ "
Affan bin Muslim told us, Hushaym told us, Dawud bin Amr told us, on the authority of Abdullah bin Abi Zakaria Al-Khuza’i, on the authority of Abu Al-Darda’, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “You will be called on the Day of Resurrection by your names and the names of your fathers. So improve your names.”
