أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، وَعُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّ حَكِيمَ بْنَ حِزَامٍ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَعْطَانِي، ثُمَّ سَأَلْتُهُ فَأَعْطَانِي، ثُمَّ سَأَلْتُهُ فَأَعْطَانِي، ثُمَّ سَأَلْتُهُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَا حَكِيمُ،إِنَّ هَذَا الْمَالَ خَضِرٌ حُلْوٌ، فَمَنْ أَخَذَهُ بِسَخَاوَةِ نَفْسٍ، بُورِكَ لَهُ فِيهِ، وَمَنْ أَخَذَهُ بِإِشْرَافِ نَفْسٍ، لَمْ يُبَارَكْ لَهُ فِيهِ، وَكَانَ كَالَّذِي يَأْكُلُ وَلَا يَشْبَعُ، وَالْيَدُ الْعُلْيَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْيَدِ السُّفْلَى "
Muhammad bin Yusuf informed us, on the authority of Al-Awza’i, on the authority of Ibn Shihab, on the authority of Sa’id bin Al-Musayyab, and Urwa bin Al-Zubayr, that Hakim bin Hizam, he said: I asked the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he gave me, then I asked him and he gave me, then I asked him and he gave me, then I asked him, Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “O wise man, this money is green and sweet. Whoever takes it out of generosity will be blessed for him. And whoever takes it out of self-control, he will not be blessed for it, and he is like one who eats and is not satisfied, and the upper hand is better than the lower hand.”
