Hadith #55657
Al-Hakam bin Nafi’ told us, Shuaib told us, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, he said: Abu Salamah told me, on the authority of Abu Hurairah: that he heard him say: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “The fire complained to its Lord, and said: O Lord, part of me has devoured another.” So God permitted it to take two breaths: A breath in the winter, and a breath in the summer, for it is the hottest you will find of heat, and the hottest you will find of colds.” Hajjaj told us, Hammad told us. Ibn Salamah, on the authority of Asim Ibn Bahdala, on the authority of Abu Salih, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and something similar.
