حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ مَسْرُوقٌ يُنَزِّلُ الْعَمَّةَ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الْأَبِ، إِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ أَبٌ، وَالْخَالَةَ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الْأُمِّ، إِذَا لَمْ تَكُنْ أُمٌّ "
Abu Nu`aym told us, Yunus told us, on the authority of Amer, who said: “Masruq used to treat the paternal aunt in the same position as the father, if there was no father, and the paternal aunt “In the status of a mother, if she is not a mother.”
