Sunan ad-Darimi — Hadith #56153

Ubayd Allah bin Abdul Majeed told us, on the authority of Shu`bah, on the authority of Mansour, who said: I heard Abu Wael, on the authority of Abdullah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. He, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: “He said: ‘How miserable is it for one of you to say: I forgot a verse like this and another. Rather, he forgot. And remember the Qur’an, for it is quicker. Separating from the breasts of men, from the blessings from her mind.”
