Ahmad bin Mani’ told us, Hushaym told us, on the authority of Hisham bin Hassan, on the authority of Muhammad bin Sirin, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him He prostrated them after greeting them. Abu Issa said: This is a hasan and authentic hadith. It was narrated by Ayoub and more than one person on the authority of Ibn Sirin. And a hadith Ibn Masoud is a hasan and authentic hadith. This is acted upon according to some people of knowledge. They said, “If a man prays the noon prayer five times, his prayer is It is permissible, and he prostrated two prostrations of forgetfulness, even if he did not sit in the fourth. This is the opinion of Al-Shafi’i, Ahmad, and Ishaq. Some of them said that if He prayed He prayed the fifth noon prayer and did not sit in the fourth prayer for the amount of tashahhud, so his prayer was invalid. This is the view of Sufyan al-Thawri and some of the people of Kufa.
