Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #26560

Ahmad bin Mani’ told us, Yazid bin Harun told us, on the authority of Abu Malik Al-Ashja’i, he said: I told my father, O father, that you prayed behind the Messenger of God. May God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and Abu Bakr, Omar, Othman, and Ali bin Abi Talib are here in Kufa for about five years. They used to practice Qunoun. He said, “What a modern hadith.” Abu Issa said, “This is a hasan and authentic hadith. It is acted upon according to most of the people of knowledge.” Sufyan said. Al-Thawri: If you recite Qunoot at dawn, then it is good, and if you do not recite Qunoot, then good. And he chose not to recite Qunoot at dawn. And Ibn al-Mubarak did not see Qunoot at dawn. . Abu Issa and Abu Malik Al-Ashja'i said: His name is Saad bin Tariq bin Ashim.
