The people of knowledge differed regarding Qunoot in the Fajr prayer, and some of the people of knowledge among the companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and others were of the opinion Qunoot in the Fajr prayer is the opinion of Malik and Al-Shafi’i. Ahmad and Ishaq said that Qunoot is not to be performed during Fajr except when a calamity occurs. For the Muslims, so if a calamity strikes, the Imam may call for the Muslim armies.
