Yahya bin Khalaf told us, Ibn Abi Adi told us, on the authority of Hisham bin Hassan, on the authority of Muhammad bin Sirin, on the authority of Kathir bin Aflah, on the authority of Zaid Ibn Thabit, may God be pleased with him, said: We are commanded to say “Tasbih” after every prayer thirty-three times, and “thank Him” thirty-three times, and “Allahu Akbar” thirty-four times. He said: A man from the Ansar saw in a dream and said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, commanded you to say “Tasbih” thirty-three times after every prayer and to give thanks. God, thirty-three, and say “Allahu Akbar” thirty-four. He said, “Yes.” He said, “So make twenty-five, and make He rejoiced with them, so he went to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he spoke to him and said, “Do it.” Abu Issa said, “This is an authentic hadith.”
