Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #26860

Hanad narrated to us, Abu Muawiyah narrated to us, on the authority of Al-A’mash, on the authority of Amara bin Umair, on the authority of Abu Atiya, he said, Masruq and I entered upon Aisha. So we said, O Mother of the Believers, there are two men from the companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. One of them hastens the breaking of the fast and hastens the prayer, and the other He delays breaking the fast and delays prayer. She said, “Which one of them hastens breaking the fast and hastens prayer.” We said, “Abdullah bin Masoud.” She said like this. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, did it. The other was Abu Musa. Abu Issa said, “This is a good and authentic hadith. And Abu Atiyya’s name is Malik bin Abu Amer Al-Hamdani, and it is called Malik bin Amer Al-Hamdani, and Ibn Amer is more correct.
