Hadith #26862
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، بِنَحْوِهِ إِلاَّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ قَدْرُ قِرَاءَةِ خَمْسِينَ آيَةً ‏.‏ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏ وَبِهِ يَقُولُ الشَّافِعِيُّ وَأَحْمَدُ وَإِسْحَاقُ اسْتَحَبُّوا تَأْخِيرَ السُّحُورِ ‏.‏
Hanad narrated to us, Waki’ narrated to us, on the authority of Hisham, something similar, except that he said the amount of reciting fifty verses. He said, and in the chapter, on the authority of Hudhayfah. Abu Issa said the hadith of Zayd ibn Thabit is a good and authentic hadith. Al-Shafi’i, Ahmad, and Ishaq say that they recommended delaying suhoor.
