Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27150

Sufyan bin Wakee’ narrated to us, my father narrated to us, on the authority of Shu’bah, on the authority of Khalid bin Ja’far, on the authority of Abu Nadra, on the authority of Abu Sa’id, that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace He was asked about musk and he said, “It is your best perfume.” Abu Issa said, “This is a good and authentic hadith. And this should be acted upon when Some people Knowledge, and this is the saying of Ahmad and Ishaq, and some people of knowledge disliked giving musk to the dead. He said, and it was narrated by Al-Mustamil Ibn Al-Rayyan. Also, on the authority of Abu Nadhrah, on the authority of Abu Sa’id, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him. Ali said: Yahya bin Sa’id said: Al-Mustamil bin Al-Rayyan is trustworthy. Yahya Khalid bin Jaafar said: Trustworthy.
