Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27153

Muhammad bin Bashar narrated to us, Omar bin Yunus narrated to us, Ikrimah bin Ammar narrated to us, on the authority of Hisham bin Hassan, on the authority of Muhammad bin Sirin, on the authority of Abu Qatada, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “If one of you is the guardian of his brother, let him cover himself with good shroud.” And it is narrated on the authority of Jabir. Abu said: Jesus, this is a good and strange hadith. And Ibn Al-Mubarak said, Salam bin Abi Muti’ said in his saying, “And let one of you improve his brother’s shroud.” He said It is the peritoneum, not high.
