حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، سَمِعَ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ أَسْرِعُوا بِالْجَنَازَةِ فَإِنْ يَكُنْ خَيْرًا تُقَدِّمُوهَا إِلَيْهِ وَإِنْ يَكُنْ شَرًّا تَضَعُوهُ عَنْ رِقَابِكُمْ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏
Ahmad bin Mani’ told us, Sufyan bin Uyaynah told us, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, he heard Sa’id bin Al-Musayyab, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, conveying it to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. He greeted him and said, “Make haste with the funeral. If it is good, you will present it to him, and if it is evil, you will remove it from your necks.” On the authority of Abu Bakra, Abu Issa said: The hadith of Abu Hurairah is a good and authentic hadith.
