Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27232

Muhammad bin Bashar told us, Abd al-Rahman bin Mahdi told us, and Abu Amir al-Aqdi told us, they said Hisham bin Saad told us, on the authority of Sa`id bin Abu Hilal, on the authority of Rabi’ah bin Saif, on the authority of Abdullah bin Amr, said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “No Muslim dies on the day Friday or Friday night, unless God protects him from the temptation of the grave.” Abu Issa said: This is a strange hadith and its chain of transmission is not connected. Rabia bin Saif only narrates on the authority of Abu Abdul Rahman Al Hubali on the authority of Abdullah bin Amr, and we do not know of Rabia bin Saif hearing from Abdullah bin Amr.
