Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27238

Abu Issa said, the hadith of Abu Ayyub is a hadith. Hassan Gharib. Mahmoud bin Khadash Al-Baghdadi told us, Abbad bin Al-Awwam told us, on the authority of Al-Hajjaj, on the authority of Makhul, on the authority of Abu Al-Shamal, on the authority of Abu Ayyub, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, similar to the hadith of Hafs. Abu Issa said: This hadith was narrated by Hushaym and Muhammad bin Yazid al-Wasiti. And Abu Muawiyah and more than one person, on the authority of Al-Hajjaj, on the authority of Makhul, on the authority of Abu Ayyub, and they did not mention in it the authority of Abu Al-Shamal and the hadith of Hafs bin Ghayath. Abbad bin Al-Awwam is more correct.
