Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27246

Ahmad bin Mani’ told us, Hushaym told us, Abu Balaj told us, on the authority of Muhammad bin Hatib Al-Jumahi, he said, “The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said.” Separating what is forbidden from what is permissible is the tambourine and the voice.” He said, and on the authority of Aisha, Jabir, and Al-Rabi’ bint Mu’awwidh. He said: Abu Issa, the hadith of Muhammad bin Hatib, is a good hadith. And Abu Balj’s name is Yahya bin Abi Sulaym, and he is also called Ibn Sulaym. And Muhammad bin Hatib saw the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, when he was a young boy.
