Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27387

Qutaibah told us, Hammad bin Zaid told us, on the authority of Ayyub, on the authority of Nafi’, on the authority of Ibn Umar, that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, forbade the sale of a pregnant woman’s rope. He said, on the authority of Abdullah bin Abbas and Abu Saeed Al-Khudri. Abu Issa said: The hadith of Ibn Umar is a good and authentic hadith. According to the people of knowledge, working on this is the result of the product, and it is an invalid sale according to the people of knowledge, and it is a sale of deception. Shu’bah narrated this hadith on the authority of Ayyub, on the authority of Sa’id bin Jubayr, on the authority of Ibn Abbas. Abdul-Wahhab Al-Thaqafi and others narrated it. About Ayoub, on the authority of Sa’id bin Jubayr, and Nafi’, on the authority of Ibn Umar, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. This is more correct.
