Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27423

Hanad and Ali bin Hajar told us, they said: Ismail bin Ayyash told us, on the authority of Shurahbil bin Muslim Al-Khawlani, on the authority of Abu Umamah, he said I heard the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying in his sermon in the year of the Farewell Pilgrimage: “The loan will be repaid, the leader will be in debt, and the debt will be paid.” Abu Issa said, and in the chapter on the authority of Samurah, Safwan bin Umayyah and Anas. He said, the hadith of Abu Umamah is a good hadith. It was narrated on the authority of Abu Imaamah on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, also from another direction.
