Hadith #27751
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ كُنَّا نُبَايِعُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى السَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ فَيَقُولُ لَنَا
" فِيمَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ كِلاَهُمَا .
Ali bin Hajar told us, Ismail bin Jafar told us, on the authority of Abdullah bin Dinar, on the authority of Ibn Umar, he said: We used to pledge allegiance to the Messenger of God, may God bless him. He praised listening and obedience, and he said to us:
“As much as you are able.” Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith, both of them.
