Hadith #27709
Qutaibah and Muhammad bin Bashar narrated to us, saying: Muadh bin Muadh narrated to us, on the authority of Saeed bin Abi Orouba, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Anas, on the authority of Abu Talha, that when the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, appeared over a people, he would stand by their side three times. Abu Issa said: This is a good, authentic hadith. Hamid, on the authority of Anas, a hasan and authentic hadith. Some of the people of knowledge granted permission to raid at night and to spend the night, but some of them disliked it. Ahmad and Ishaq said, “There is no harm in the enemy staying overnight.” What he means by his saying is “Muhammad agreed on Thursday,” meaning the army.
