Hadith #27770
Muhammad ibn Bashar narrated to us, Muadh ibn Hisham narrated to us, my father narrated to me, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Al-Nu’man ibn Muqrin, he said: I fought with the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. So, when dawn came, he would hold off until the sun rose, and when it rose, he would fight, and when the middle of the day would stop until the sun had set. The sun, so when the sun has passed, he fights until the afternoon prayer, then he holds off until the afternoon prayer is prayed, then he fights. He said, and it was said, “At that time the winds would blow.” Victory, and the believers pray for their armies in their prayers. Abu Issa said: This hadith was narrated on the authority of Al-Nu’man bin Muqrin. With a more reliable chain of transmission than this. Qatadah did not reach al-Nu’man ibn Muqrin, and al-Nu’man ibn Muqrin died during the caliphate of Umar.
