Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27840

Mahmoud bin Ghaylan narrated to us, Waki’ narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Al-Muhallab bin Abi Sufra, on the authority of the one who heard the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. He says, “If the enemy attacks you, say: ‘They will not be helped.’” Abu Issa said, and in the chapter on the authority of Salama ibn al-Akwa’. Thus, some of them narrated on the authority of Abu Ishaq, like the narration of Al-Thawri, and it was narrated on his authority on the authority of Al-Muhallab ibn Abi Sufra on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, as a messenger. .
